Description: Handcol. engraved polder-map with cartouche & Dutch explanatory text in outer right part (“Register der grootens van ieder Ambacht [..]”) after M. Bolstra. (Published after 1746). Ca. 57,5 x 67,5 cm. ? Very rare large-sized 18th-cent. Dutch polder-map (only 4 copies in WorldCat) by the Dutch surveyor Melchior Bolstra (1704-1779) depicting the “Vierambachtspolder” near Woubrugge (incorporating the areas of Esselijkerwoude, Oudshoorn, Rijnsaterwoude & Ter Aar). – Vertical fold in the middle (as publ.). Sl. frayed/ torn in outer blank margins (partly repaired with paper on verso), but else in good condition.
