THREE SAFAVID-STYLE INCISED BRASS VESSELS Qajar Iran, 19th century? Comprising a bulbous bucket with circular handle, the exterior decorated with a multitude of figures, both mythical and real, and animals contained within cartouches created by interlocking vegetal tendrils, the base plain, 15cm diam. and 14cm high; a small gourd-shaped bottle with hemispherical lid and flaring mouth, the exterior decorated with several concentric bands of figural roundels with both mythical creatures, humans and animals, and of split-palmette tendrils, the base heavily incised with an intricate arabesque, 11cm high; and a tall bottle with compressed circular body and elongated tapering neck, the decoration similar to the other two vessels in pure Safavid style, decorative pierced work on the base and sides of the body, neck and lid, 43.7cm high.Notes: Islamic & Indian Art
