A CHINESE JADEITE-INLAID GILT-METAL FILIGREE SNUFF BOTTLE.
Qing Dynasty, Qianlong mark possibly and of the period.
The flattened ovoid body decorated with filigree lotus flower to one side and a cluster of gourds to the reverse, the plants with elements inlaid in green jadeite, all on a scrolling filigree ground, the interior finished with turquoise enamel, a four character seal mark to the base, 6.5cm H. (2)

Filigree work with inlaid jadeite, turquoise or other hardstones was typically used in the 18th and 19th Centuries to create boxes, snuff bottles, ruyi sceptres and other small items, including for the Imperial court.
