A YIXING "BAMBOO" ZHUSHA CLAY TEAPOT AND COVER, IMPRESSED AND BLACK INK MARKS, 20TH CENTURY, of square form and modeled as bound bamboo rods sides flanked by a bamboo shaped handle opposite a similarly detailed spout, beneath a flat top trimmed by a band of continuous circles centering a circular lid with yin/yang decorated handle, the lid verso inscribed with black ink character marks and an effaced impressed mark, the body verso enclosing a square form character marks stamp and black ink inscribed character marks with remnants of a custom's brown wax seal stamp. Height: 4.50" Width: 6.50" Depth: 3.00" Condition: One corner has an old chip, tiny old kiln firing crack on inset rim of body, light wear on underside from use, normal surface build up throughout, the lid top and edge have some tiny nicks, underside rim is chipped, black ink marks are faded on both the lid and body.Simpson Galleries strongly encourages in-person inspection of items by the bidder.
