Description: An antique Vietnamese style Cham stele depicting a seated Ganesha. The Ganesha is in the Vietnamese Cham style. The front of the Stele also includes sanskrit text. The rear of the Stele is silhouetted with the Trident and Axe held in purnaghata, the urn of plenty. A unique Sanskrit inscription in two vertical lines can be seen. The stele without base measures 60cm tall including its pointed socket that allows it to be seated on a base. Loose mounted to a wood base (later). Provenance: Ex- private Los Angeles, US Collection.
