Description: 釋文:半窗月印梅花影 款識:藹雲先生清賞,心畬。 鈐印:溥儒之印(白文)、心畬(朱文)、庚寅(朱文)、自怡室( 朱文) Signed HSINYU in Chinese With four seals of the artist 註: 上款人「藹雲先生」即為王藹雲先生,曾任台灣師範大學美術研究所教授,台灣教育部美術教育委員兼職,早年與徐悲鴻、張大千、溥心畬、黃君璧等畫家交往密切。 使用簡潔構成的元素,常常會讓畫面產生單純、明晰之感,溥氏以「淡墨」單線勾勒花瓣線條寫梅花瓣,筆法線條有濃淡粗細頓挫,以寫出梅花前後分布之姿,梅萼與花心之間點以淡淡的花青,雖少設色,但卻能寫出寫出花朵盛開生意盎然之狀,梅幹少皴擦而骨幹挺立,梅枝橫穿而上,用墨清幽沉靜,意到筆到,墨隨筆出,用筆不虛,嚴謹而傳神,寫出這幅「寒梅圖」在寒冬勁挺冰肌玉骨之仙姿,刻劃入微。 溥心畬先生的《寒玉堂畫論》畫花卉中曾寫道:「花有俯仰之姿,風露之狀,木花之枝欲蒼老,草花之枝欲柔嫩,梅枝則瘦硬,有崚嶒之勢。帶雨之花低垂,迎風之花倚斜,盛開者似錦城之春蘭,欲謝者如落梅之風起,求掩映以生姿,或筆簡以取勝,疏梅當奇,得其勢也,故折枝易妙,芳樹難工」。從畫論中溥老看來,他對於寫梅與各種花卉畫法均有精妙之處。 Simplistic structure is often used to depict an austere and bright tone. Pu used light ink and thin lines to outline the petals of plum blossoms. Lines have various tones and thickness to depict their positions. Stigma and center of the plum blossoms were lightly coloured to highlight their blooming state. The stem is straight with few cun strokes. Such lightly coloured painting highlights the beauty of the flower under the frost of winter. Pu Hsinyu once mentioned in his manifesto, “the beauty of flowers comes from its position and shape, their aged stems and fresh green leaves. Stems of plum blossoms are thin yet hard and crooked. Flowers faced downwards under the falling rain, face sideways under the wind. Withering flowers face downwards to cover its beauty. Brushstrokes are minimized thus demand sophisticated skills.” This shows Pu’s meticulous attention and skills in such work.
