Description: Three carved, wooden masks in style of Baule people from Ivory Coast, Africa. Two masks depict an ovalesque face, crested by elaborate hair style and long-beaked bird pecking at hair. A third has a longer, pointed chin ending in a knotted beard. The crest depicts hair piled up with a comb, pointing down in line with hair grain. The red-tinted faces area ornamented with incisions on forehead and cheeks. Eyes have slit openings. Dimensions are: bird-crested masks - 17 inches tall X 6 3/4 inches wide X 3 1/2 inches deep.
