Description: Two drawings on paper, one pencil and one India ink by Joseph Stella (American, 1877-1946). One drawing is of a man napping on a log with a yellow wash and signed in the lower right Joseph Stella, dated 1916 on the back. The other is a self-portrait of the artist and signed JS in the lower right corner of the image. Two drawings come with a catalogue of Joseph Stella from the collection of Rabin & Krueger Gallery published in 1962. Dimensions are: largest drawing, image - 4 3/8 inches wide X 5 5/8 inches tall, overall - 14 5/8 inches wide X 18 3/4 inches tall. All measurements are approximate.
