Description: Yoshitoshi Mori Kappazuri stencil print titled, 'Burning of Rokuhara,' 1973, depicting the Siege of Sanjo Palace which occurred during the Heiji rebellion of 1160. Nobuyori, a member of the Fujiwara clan and his Minamoto allies abducted the former emperor Emperor Go-Shirakawa and Emperor Nijo and set fire to the Palace. Pencil signed and dated 1973, with seal and marked 3/50. Dimensions are: image size - 21 1/2 inches wide X 14 7/8 inches tall, paper size - 27 1/2 inches wide X 22 1/2 inches tall.
