Description: Pair of Chinese paktong, pewter metal figures with wooden heads and occasional jewel ornamentation, from the Republic period: a) Male scholar in high-backed cap, long robe and ornamented belt, backed by large flowers, standing on a hexagonal pedestal with grill fence and claw feet; b) Male labourer holding bucket, wearing long, sleeveless vest and decorative belt, similarly backed by flowers, with red jewels, and standing on a hexagonal, claw-foot pedestal.
