Description: AN INLAID CéLADON-GLAZED ‘WILLOW’ EWER
Korea, Goryeo dynasty, 13th-14th century
Standing on a circular foot, the eight-lobed globular body rising to an inclined shoulder with an incised decoration of leaves arranged around the circular mouth, the loop handle with a moulded ring, the cylindrical spout slightly bend toward the central section, the external surface covered with an olive-green glaze, on the body a series of stylized willow trees inlaid in black an white, the cover missing.
