The blade:
Hirazukuri with iori mune, the hamon is a large and very finely pronounced gunome. The tang is mumei with two mekugi-ana, the yasurime is kiri and the tang tip is kurijiri.
The mounting:
The iron tsuba with large, curved ryohitsu and a recumbent tiger above. The bronze fuchi and kashira show a body of water with a pavilion and blossoms as well as a kneeling man playing the flute. The gilt menuki are possibly shishi. The black lacquer saya is densely ribbed. The kozuka is missing.

Condition: The blade in good condition with minor blemishes on the surface. Worn condition of the saya with some chipping. The kozuka is missing.
