11-PART SIGNED SATSUMA TEA SET
Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912). Signed Nikko and with the Shimazu crest on the underside. Masterful hand painting with polychrome enamels and gold. Depicted are blooming flower meadows and butterflies. The set consist of 4 cups and saucers, a lidded milk jug, a sugar box and a tea pot both also with their original lid.

Condition: Perfect condition with only minimal traces of age.
