A Chinese Wucai bowl, 18th/19th century, decorated throughout with carnations and peony, the carnation petals being translucent, with underglazed blue and polychrome enamels heightened with gilding, with pseudo Qianlong seal mark. Width 11.5 cm, height 5 cm. A 19th century polychrome enamel rice bowl cover, decorated with a black and white cat on rockwork surrounded by blossoming flowers and with red Daoguang seal mark, 10 cm diameter (see illustration).
