The central column carved from wood decorated with a globular middle section carved in relief with bats and clouds, the bell-shaped foot decorated with bats and clouds and four phoenix-shaped spandrels. The column supports a gilt bronze and cloisonné enamel upper section decorated with a peony spray to the base and eight ruyi-shaped ribs decorated with flower sprays in cloisonné enamel, all surmounted by a ruyi-band ring. All supported on a stand decorated with scrolled flowers.
