Meiji and laterThe desk formed by two pedestals, one with small cupboard door opening to reveal two deep drawers above a base drawer, the other with four graduated drawers, decorated all over with geometric designs, 27cm high, 70cm wide, 25.5cm deep; a black and gilt lacquer shrine stand, 45cm wide; two graduated red rectangular lacquer trays with birch bark edging, largest 40cm long; a Wajima writing box and cover decorated with flying cranes in gilt on black lacquer, with signed presentation box, 29cm x 22cm x 6.5cm; two decorative saucer dishes, 23.5cm diameter; three rectangular boxes with covers, all in black and gilt lacquer, widest 27cm; a rectangular tray in gold hiramaki-e with cricket and other insects on grasses, 18cm wide; and another small rectangular tray with landscape design.(qnty).
