A German Art Nouveau silver parcel gilt large box by Emil Harnisch, post 1886 .800 standard, circa 1900, retailed by Gebrüder Friedl?nder, the hinged cover embossed with a spray of lilies and applied with a monogram CR, the rest plain. 39.5cm (15 1/2in) long, 1154g (37.1 oz) Gebrüder Friedl?nder were court jewellers and has premises on the prestigious Unter den Linden, Berlin. The artist and designer Wilhelm Lucas von Cranach (1861-1918) was employed to design jewellery for them in the fashionable Jugendstil style. In 1908 Emil Harnisch moved his silver workshop into the Friedl?nder premises at 4A Unter den Linden.
