It has been presented to the world in 1970 only after 4 years of intense tests firs at 600 m of depth and later at 1000 m in the Golf du Lion off the coast of Marseilles. The first generation watches were simply marked 600 on the dial while the second generation, the ref. ST166.0077 as the present watch were marked 600 m/2000 ft.
