C.1770-80 Italian hand carved etched semi-circular china or display chest with detachable oval mirror. Beautiful etching on the three curved panels of glass and door. Some of the etching is in gilt as well. Small brass handle on the door. One large semi-circular compartment on the inside made for holding the china set or sets as originally part of an 18th century Italian parlor set. An additional shelf could be added if desired for more storage. Hand painted gilt designs on top of cabinet and trim. The removable oval mirror attaches with sturdy construction to the back. Dark blue finish with gilt trim. Reed legs. Very stable and grand condition. Very minor wear to paint. Measures 82 H X 32 L X 15.5 D with mirror. Cabinet, 32 L X 36 H. X 15.5 D alone.
