Description: Indo-Persian Kashan rug was hand knotted in Kashmir of 100% silk, with a cotton foundation, and has 270+ knots per square inch. The remnants of the Indian Government certification patch are visible on the backside of the rug. This rug is 30+ years old. This rug was acquired from a Washington DC estate. The rug has low silk piles and is in good condition. Beautiful colors with excellent quality. No holes or repairs, but with a very slight wear that is barely visible. Gorgeous design but not a perfect rectangle. Clean and ready to be enjoyed. It has a recent, independent insurance replacement appraisal of $800.00 by a well-established rug company in St Louis.
