Description: Semi Antique, Persian Kerman rug, hand knotted in Persia of 100% natural wool. This rug is 40+ years old and has medium, wool piles and is in excellent condition, with 165 knots per square inch and very little wear for its age. Beautiful colors made from vegetable dyes with excellent quality. No holes or repairs, plush and soft. Gorgeous design but not a perfect rectangle. Acquired from a lady in Washington DC who owned it for 30+ years. She had bought it from an estate auction, and the rug was listed as “semi-antique” back then. Clean and ready to be enjoyed. Recent embargoes by the U.S. against Iranian goods should cause the value of these rugs to increase. It has a recent, independent insurance replacement appraisal of $1,200.00 by a well-established rug company in St Louis. This appraisal can be provided upon request.
