Description: Indo-Persian Silk Kashmir rug was hand knotted of 100% silk on cotton. This rug is 30+ years old. This is a beautiful and intricate silk prayer rug dates from the late 20th century. The warm ivory field of scrolling vines is centered by an urn issuing flowers beneath a mihrab with blue, yellow and pink flowers. The spandrels and palmette borders have rich yellow ochre and soft green colors. The rug has medium silk piles with 200+ knots per square inch and is in excellent condition. The Indian Government Authenticity patch is attached to the backside. (see picture) This rug was acquired from a Tennessee estate. Beautiful colors with excellent quality. No holes or repairs, nice and soft. Clean and ready to be enjoyed.
