Description: Antique Persian Lilihan Mallayer Sarouk runner, handmade in Persia the 1930s of 100% wool with a cotton foundation. This runner was made with old vegetable dyes with old vegetable dyes that have begun to slightly fade. The rug has medium wool piles and is a good antique with very little wear due to age and usage. Beautiful, antiqued colors with excellent quality. No holes or repairs, plush and soft. Gorgeous design but not a perfect rectangle. The rug has 100+ knots per square inch. The design of this rug is known as a Sarouk. Recent embargoes against Iranian goods by the U.S. should cause the value of these rugs to increase.
