Tsuba with coiled rope textured surface with gold inlaid dragon, pearl and cloud design. Wrapped shagreen handle with mixed metals foo dog inserts. Family crest button with double leaf design in gold and bronze. Black lacquered scabbard fitted with mixed metals handle eating knife. Handle inlaid with floral and butterfly motif. Comes complete with silk pouch with woven gold threads and Mt Fuji motif. Sword measures 22" with a 16" blade. Good condition with surface wear, small losses to shagreen, lacquer losses to edges.
