Ashley-Page Collection label and SPB Auction label on reverse. France, circa 1930's. NOTE: Levy was one of the principal designers at Longwy for Primavera and also worked for Sevres. His last exhibition in New York was during the 1939 World's Fair. Together with Emil Decoeur, Raul Lachenal and Jean Mayodon, Levy was known as one of the "gres potters" a group who used the earthy gray pottery and stoneware of the Korean and Japanese Kyoto ceramists.
