Rare figural Hanau spoon, bearing what is believed to be Neresheimer marks in the bowl. Circa 1900. Presumed to be a christening or baptism spoon, the bowl has a hand-chased repousse depiction of a swaddled baby -- does not appear to be a representation of Jesus, but it could be. Much of Neresheimer's silver was sterling (.925), but it is at least .800. Measures 8-1/4" long and weighs 2.1 Troy ounces.
