A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITAYUS, QIANLONG
China, 1736-1795. The figure is finely cast with legs crossed in dhyanasana, the hands in dhyana mudra, wearing an elaborate high crown and jewelry, seated on an openwork throne in front of a flaming mandorla.
Provenance: From a private collection in Vienna, Austria. Acquired in the local market between 1970 and 1990. Thence by descent.
Condition: Old wear and minor nicks here and there. Overall fine condition.

The inside of the base bears an incised inscription.
