Description:
A LARGE AMETHYST GLASS BOWL, QING
China, 18th-19th century. The deep, massive bowl with rounded sides rising from a raised, circular and broad foot to an everted rim with a pompous lip. The semi-transparent and slightly bubble-suffused glass is of deep purple color.
Provenance: From a private collection of antique glass. Acquired from Polly Latham Asian Art, Boston, USA, on November 10th, 2012. A copy of the original invoice is accompanying this lot. Old Polly Latham inventory sticker ’4134’ to base.
Condition: Excellent condition with old wear, tiny scratches especially to foot rim, several manufacturing flaws including a characteristic large bump inside the well.

中國,十八至十九世紀。碗深且大,圓形的側面從凸起的圓形圈足上升到外翻的邊緣。紫色玻璃半透明略帶氣泡。

品相:品相極好,舊時磨損,特別是足部邊緣有輕微刻痕,一些燒製瑕疵包括碗内有大凸起。
