A DOUBLE GOURD VASE, HULUPING
China, Republic era, first half of the 20th century. Finely enameled with scrolling lotus and lampions above a pale-yellow ground. The shoulders with dragon masks and movable rings. The lobed neck with two ruyi bands, the base with a lappet and ruyi border.
Provenance: From a French private estate.
Condition: The base drilled through the apocryphal Qianlong seal mark. The lip and dragon masks with small repairs.
