A PAIR OF QING DYNASTY DOUCAI VASES QIANLONG MARK AND PERIOD. Dimensions : 8 x 4 1/4 in. Provenance: The David Collins(1902-1975) Collection, acquired during Mr. Collins' career in the British Consular Service in China and Eastern Tibet between 1920s and 1930s, and thence by descent in the Collins family. A picture of Collins' residence shows part of his collection in 1940s. During his stay in Tibet and China, Collins built a significant collection of Tibetan and Chinese art. The same collections can be found from Lot 73 through Lot 111. In overall very good condition, with a tiny glaze flakes on the body of one vase as pictured.
