A PERSIAN POLYCHROME MOULDED POTTERY TILE decorated with a prince on horseback feeding a bird and amongst palaces and foliage, (extensively damaged) and a Syrian marquetry mosaic frame, the tile, 32 x 25cm, the frame, 46 x 38cm Provenance Given by Patrick Downie R.S.W, artist (1854 - 1945) to the present owners mother. Acquired from a Paris Exhibition in 1890 Condition Report: The tile is broken into four sections and held loosely together with a metal back bracket.
