Provenance: Note: Mir ‘Alisher Navai (9 February 1441 – 3 January 1501), also known as Nizam-al-Din ‘Alisher Herawi was a leading Chagatai Turkish poet, writer, politician, linguist, mystic and painter. He was also the confidant and vizier of the Timurid Sultan Husain Bayqara (r. 1469-1506). Navai is considered by many throughout the Turkish-speaking world to be the founder of early Turkish literature.
