PAIR OF CLOISONNE ENAMEL VASES WITH PERIOD MARK
each of archaistic baluster form and square section, accented with crenulated flanges at each corner, with a bulging, slightly tapered belly supported on a splayed base and surmounted by a tall flared neck with a straight upright rim, decorated to the center of the vase with taotie masks, between stylized lappets to the flaring base and neck, all on a dark blue ground, the rim with a band of key-fret, the bottom incised with four-character Qianlong mark.
Dimension: 15" (38cm) H; 6 7/8" (17.5cm) W.
