Each of eight facetted sides with rounded shoulders tapering to the base, the exterior carved in relief of a writhing dragon among stylized ruyi clouds, the shoulder with a calligraphy written in underglazed blue enamel, the short tapered neck with a flange mouth rim, applied with a thick whitish-blue glaze pooling to a darker hue in the carving, the unglazed foot revealing the buff stoneware burnt orange in the firing, each fitted with matching cover, 20 inch high.
