Description: Ca. early 18th. century, Italy/France, A very interesting doll dressed in historical costume, formerly in the collection of Nirva Nirvana and Manuel Sierra (until 1962). The doll probably originated as a Neapolitan Divino Infante or creche Madonna (the crown is probably from that period). She was later transformed into a princess and has been described as a Princess of the House of Orange. This doll has been exhibited and comes with various papers concerning past exhibitions and auctions. In earlier descriptions she has been described as early 18th. century.
