Very rare late 19th-cent. Dutch specimen of printing in BRAILLE CHARACTERS (no copies in NCC or WorldCat) comprising the Dutch text of the Gospel of John in the New Testament. The alphabet was developed for the blind & visually impaired by the French educator Louis Braille (1809-1852). – Spine-ends partly torn (on upper & lower joint). Occ. sl. foxed/ browned, but nevertheless in a good interior condition.
