Complete set of the second enlarged edition of a Dutch translation of a comprehensive dictionary & cyclopaedia (comprising 4.370 text-pages) dealing with all aspects of managing a mansion in the eighteenth century (i.a. agriculture, fishing, gardening, hunting, husbandry, viniculture, recipes for cooking & treatment of diseases). Nine supplementary volumes were published between 1786-1793. The first French edition of the “Dictionnaire Oeconomique” by No?l Chomel (1633-1712) was published in 1709. ? Ex bibliotheca H.C. Waldeck (1811-1881, Dutch burgomaster of Loosduinen) & P.W. Waldeck with his owner’s entry in ink (on half-title of volume I). One plate (lettered “E”) not listed in the binder’s index, but the number of engravings is complete.
