Very rare edition (no copies in WorldCat) of finely executed etchings combining French Rococo ornaments & Chinese-inspired designs by the French artist Jean-Baptiste Pillement (1728-1808) whose work had a profound influence on the French & English decorative arts at the end of the eighteenth century. – Complete set, but probably an etched title-leaf is missing. Partly waterstained in outer (blank) margins, 1 etching sl. soiled, all leaves stitched together in upper blank margin.
