Description: This is a fine carving for such an early piece (Yuan Dynasty 1280-1368). The water buffalo has a boy on the back. This was carved from a single piece of jade and sits atop a rosewood stand. The carving is 2 x 2.25 inches. The wood stand is ? inch tall. Acquired from Mildred Churchill in Moline, Illinois in March 1971. See attached photos as evidence of condition and details.
