Description: oil on paper, sign., framed Santoni was the child of an Ivorian mother and a French father. He was educated in C?te d?Ivoire before attending art school in Paris and Nice. His painting, which is inspired by Baule textiles, is clearly influenced by his maternal Ivorian heritage. His work is represented in the collection of the National Museum of African Art in Washington D.C. and has been exhibited there. Many of his works can be found in private and public collections in Cote d?Ivoire, the United States and France.
