An antique Ming dynasty (1368-1644) Chinese bronze fangding censer, the rectangular body inscribed with crashing waves design in a panel on each side, diaper pattern around the neck, two tall opposing flaring handles, on four tall hoof shaped feet topped with qilin heads, With a squared domed lid with bat-shaped corner vents, topped with a white and russet jade carved finial of two melons and a butterfly, all on a beautifully carved and pierced stand, including stand approx. 11 3/8 by 9 3/4 by 5 inches.
