Of Royal Interest: a gold commemorative locket, to celebrate the recovery of the Prince of Wales from typhoid. Hinged oval bombé form, with a relief coat of arms, with a red and white enamelled flag to a blue enamel ground, damaged , with gold lettering, 'Committee Royal Reception', to a silver fleur-de-lys bale. Hand engraved to the reverse 'Thanksgiving Day 27th Feb 1872' with a central monogram. With photographs of Queen Victoria and The Prince of Wales.
