A COLLECTION OF OVER 1,200 RARE BOOKS, PERIODICALS AND OTHER MATERIALS PRINTED IN LATVIA IN THE FIRST HALF OF 20TH CENTURY
an extensive collection of rare books, periodicals, exhibition catalogues, and other materials related to Latvian art and literature of the first half of the twentieth century (1917-1945)
Comprising of 1,289 individual items, the collection includes complete and partial runs of periodicals such as Domas, Signals, Juanais Cirulitis, Nedela, Tribine, as well as rare collectible items, such as the only published issue of Juanatnes Cinas Cels.There are many first edition books that are one of a kind, such as Darba Vesture, Gudras Masinas, and Portrejas. Amassed over the course of forty years, this lot contains an insuperable amount of items of interest to bibliophiles, collectors of avant-garde books and design, and institutions in search of unique collections.
