Patek Philippe introduced a world time wristwatch in the 1930s with the reference 1415. These early world time wristwatches featured the names of international cities engraved on the bezel. The reference 5110 is a modern version of its legendary predecessors. It features a central guilloche dial and outer ring with the international city names giving it a dynamic and modern look.
Limited editions of 5110s have been made for Bogata, Singapore, Munster, Taipei and Doha such as the present example. Moscow is replaced by Doha and highlighted in red on the outer ring. It is believed that only a very small production was ordered by the State of Qatar as state gift which makes it a true collector's piece.
To the best of our knowledge, the present example has never been offered in public before.
