Description: TWO PIECES OF CHINESE KRAAK WARE, MING DYNASTY both with underglaze blue and white decoration; the first, a bowl with everted rim, centered by a bird on rockwork amidst flowering plants enclosed within a wide border of alternating fruit and ribbon-tied emblems and shaped brocade roundels and insects, the exterior with loosely painted lines and flowers, dia: 8.25 in.; and a circular dish, centered by plants and rocks enclosed within a wide border of alternating trigrams, plants and emblems, the reverse with scrolling foliage and a stylized 'chop' mark, dia: 8.25 in.
