Japan. Late 19th c. Sh?kasai und Shibayama. Gold takamaki-e on kinji ground with details in e-nashiji, kirikane and inlays of ivory. The god of fortune on his deer under a pine tree, above clouds. On the other side a young attendant with a crane, also standing under the pine tree. Five-part. Height 8.1cm. Sign.: Sh?kasai (for the lacquer) and Shibayama, in rectangular mother-of-pearl reserve (for the inlays). Netsuke: Jur?jin with karako. 19th c. Ivory. H. 5.2cm. Ojime: Mokugyo. Ivory. H. 1.7cm.
