A Chinese Kraak dish Of circular form, decorated in shades of underglaze blue, the centre painted with a design of birds by a lake surrounded by lotus, peony and prunus blooms, all set within a quatrefoil cartouche, the wide rim decorated with eight wide panels, four containing a peach motif alternating with different auspicious objects such as scrolls and artemisia leaves, separated by eight narrow panels each containing a chime; the panel pattern stylistically repeated on the reverse with eight wide and eight narrow panels, the base glazed.
