Of squat form with a tall slightly flaring neck and moulded bands continuing up along the neck dividing it into several sections, the bulbous body with a central broad band in between thin moulded borders and painted with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, Bajixiang, below a further band of auspicious symbols and above large flower-heads on a ground of scroll-work, the sections of the neck painted with butterflies and flowers, and at the top with stylised pendant ruyi-heads, lotus and scroll-work, the base with an apocryphal square seal mark of Qianlong.
