A Chinese Vase (gu) The body straight-sided with slightly flaring foot and flaring rim, the centre with a continuous band of flowering branches, painted on the upper register with a pheasant amidst flowering branches issuing from stylised rock work, the lower register with birds in flight against a background of bamboo, the base with a six-character mark in blue of Jiajing.
