A Pair of Chinese famille rose vases Each of baluster form, the tall cylindrical neck rising to an everted mouth rim, decorated in bright famille rose enamels, the body with two large panels containing a scene of two peacocks among peonies, butterflies, bamboo and rockwork, surrounded by floral sprays and gilt lappets; the shoulder and necksimilarly decorated with cartouches containing birds and rockwork, all set against a red ground, the bases glazed.
